The 20th Annual West Chester Summer Classic is located in West Chester, Pa. (thirty minutes from both Philadelphia & Wilmington, Delaware). The tournament is held on August 1-3, 2008 (some Friday night games involving local teams). It is designed to provide quality competition for Boys and Girls teams, U-09 through U-15. All U-09 and U-10 teams will play 8-v-8 games consisting of 25 minute halves. All U-11 through U-15 teams will play 11-v-11 consisting of 30 minute halves. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games.

The Tournament Entry Fee is $625.00 ($475.00 for U-09/U-10).
A maximum of five (5) [four (4) for U-09/U-10 teams] guest players may be used during the tournament. However, a team using guest players can have no more than a total of eighteen (18) players [fourteen (14) players for U09 and U10 teams] listed on their Summer Classic Tournament Roster. Guest players can have either 2008/2009 or 2007/2008 passcards. Teams must present as valid player pass and notarized medical release (US Youth Soccer only) for each guest player at tournament registration. A player may only play for one team in the tournament.
US Youth Soccer (USYS) teams from outside USYS Region 1 (& USYS affiliated teams from NJ & Conn.) must have a copy of the Permission to Travel Form approved and signed by a duly authorized USYS/USSF State Association representative. This is not required for USCS registered teams.

In the past few years, we had an average of 150 teams in the tournament and several divisions were filled by the application deadline date. We urge you to return your application as soon as you make your summer tournament plans.
We will confirm the receipt of your application upon receiving it. An accepted teams will be posted on the Summer Classic web site by July 7, 2008. Game schedules will be available approximately two weeks before the tournament. If there are changes to your game schedule, they will be available at Team Registration on Friday, August 1st.
Awards - Individual player trophies are awarded to each member of both the first and second place teams in each division.
The tournament games will be held at Delacy Soccer Complex and Thornbury Soccer Park, along with a number of additional local venues. Delacy Soccer Complex & Thornbury Soccer Park are maintained by the West Chester United Soccer Club and are considered to have some of the best soccer fields in Eastern Pennsylvania. All fields are within approximately a ten minute drive of each other.
If you want to spend an extra day or two in the area we are twenty minutes from Valley Forge National Park and ten minutes from the Brandywine Battle Fields in Chadds Ford. Atlantic City is an hour and a half away as is the New Jersey shore.
